Victoria Rose

Victoria Rose is a San Diego based acoustic guitarist who plays wonderful fingerstyle arrangements of classical, celtic, jazz & great standards. The sound of a solo acoustic guitar is quite beautiful and will make a wonderful instrumental presentation for your event!

Her guitar playing features:

* RENAISSANCE & CLASSICAL pieces from Dowland to Bach.

* CELTIC tunes featuring Scottish and Irish composers.

* SWING & JAZZ numbers taken from the Great American songbook: 1930's era Gershwin tunes, 1940's era Glenn Miller, Dorsey Brothers, Duke Ellington, etc.

* LATIN styles with wonderful, exciting Spanish rhythms featuring Brazilian Bossa Nova, Cha Cha, Flamenco, Rumba, Nuevo Flamenco, Samba, and Argentine Tango pieces.

* ACOUSTIC CLASSIC ROCK arrangements that showcase 1950s & 1960s rock tunes by the Ventures, Elvis, Creedence Clearwater, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, to name a few.

ADDED MUSICIANS:

I have done hundreds of gigs as a solo guitarist. Sometimes I am asked to add extra musicians for a special event, resulting in a either a duo with guitar and percussion, or a trio with guitar, percussion, and upright bass.

The percussionist is an outstanding drummer who can bring an entire drum kit or hand drums, depending upon your wishes. A full set sounds better for jazz and pop. Hand drumming sounds really nice for latin. A bassist can make the sound even fuller. As the VICTORIA ROSE TRIO we have played for dances, receptions, parties, and restaurants.

• Victoria Rose was wonderful! We hired her to play classical guitar at my inlaws' 40th wedding anniversary party. She was very gracious and professional. It was almost 100 degrees and while we tried to find a shady, comfortable spot for her there was just no relief from the heat (it was a garden party). Victoria did not wilt...she stayed energetic and positive throughout the entire party and even played a few extra songs at the end.
