Description

John Jenkins has been playing guitar for 40 years, and has performed in a wide variety of settings and venues. His setlist (a small part of which can be seen here on Gigmasters)is large and varied and wins him fans and friends at every appearance. His unique fingerstyle playing adds depth and brilliance to songs, and brings out those memorable riffs and melodies that can often get lost in a solo performance. Playing instrumentally or accompanying himself while singing, John is an experienced, professional performer who can bring those qualities to any event.

While John is usually a solo performer, he can put a band together if needed. Listed as members below are a few of the musicians John has performed with over the years. Those listed may or may not be available for a given performance, but any musician John brings to a performance will be capable and professional.

Feedback

  • He was wonderful! People at the wedding kept asking how I found him. He did exactly what I asked and even learned a new song that I wanted for our wedding procession! He has a great voice, a long song list and is able to sort of be there in the background playing lightly while you mingle, etc. He also did Cannon in D beautifully! He was sort of like the acoustic guitarist wallflower who was there but didn't make a scene or seem cheesy. -- Mary M, Dallas, TX, 11/15/2009
  • John was such a wonderful addition to my sons wedding. His music added that special touch and without even knowing it John played so many of my son's favorite tunes. My only regret is that I don't live in Texas so I am unable to hire John for parties here in PA at our home! But my son has already told me that this will not be the last he will hear from John! They will be in touch again! Thank you John for making our day so perfect!! -- Linda S, Waxahachie, TX, 7/18/2009
  • John was very professional and played a great mix of music for our party. I had several people comment on how good he was and where did I find him to play for the party, in which I told them about gigmasters. Overall it was a great evening and I could not thank John enough for his help in making my daughters graduation party a success for all. -- Thomas C, Rowlett, TX, 6/6/2009
