Description

THE BEST FOR YOUR GUESTS!! You insist on the best for your guests. The finest cusine. The smoothest beverages. The friendliest atmosphere. Why settle for anything less than the perfect music to pull it all together? Let Billy Schaub share a touch of Acoustic Guitar that puts your guests in just the right mood, and keeps the party going as long as you want it to. A working musician for more than twenty years, Billy Schaub began guitar studies at the age of eleven. After garnering first place honors in more than 50 living room shows, Billy studied music theory and composition at Diablo Valley College. Just outside the San Francisco Bay Area, Billy grew up playing clubs in the city before he was fifteen. Stealing dad's "Big Yellow" station wagon and loading it up for the night, every weekend was a "gig". Still in high school, Billy and "The Field Mice" captured a young hearted audience while playing shoulder to shoulder with The Ramones, Chris Isaak and Drama Rama to name a few of their 80's headliners. "We opened for a lot of names...and we were to young to drink or even drive!" Suddenly, these kids found themselves recording their hits "Coconut Bikini" and "Happy with You" at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, where Jefferson Starship and John Forgerty's cigarettes still smouldered in the ashtray. Before leaving for Los Angeles Billy had established a strong musical presence with his punk band "Blind Acceptance" and "The Field Mice". In between touring and opening for Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Billy wrote and performed music for television commercials and independent films. "I've written and performed pop, punk, country, rap, jazz, and every style under the sun." Many bands came-a-calling for him to play bass and sing, while Billy was quietly recording song after song in his own studio. "I did it all, the Sunset Strip, a regular at Universal Bar and Grill, The Fox And Hounds and even Ernies Taco House. On weekends he was jamming with Devo drummer Alan Myers and Alanis Morissette's Matt Laug, all the while developing his own sound of America. "People say my music brings them home... and this is a big country." Billy just finished recording his new album "Between Saints and Cigarettes" with Grammy Award winning producer Marc DeSisto. "it's humbling to walk in the footsteps of Don Henley and Melissa Esthridge. Billy is currently in the studio working on his New Record, but if ya get the chance Take It!! and see him play LIVE!

Feedback

  • Billy was the perfect fit for the last event of our three day corporate weekend! He was extremely professional, social and talented! If we ever have another event like this, Billy would for sure be welcomed back to serenade us! He kept the party rockin' and having someone who was so flexible and likable was great! It was nice that he allowed others to join in on the singing and was open to requests, lots and lots of requests! Thanks for a great performance Billy! -- Michelle A, Santa Barbara, CA, 7/19/2008
  • Billy was great. We had to have him change location various times and I think that would have upset most people but he was very cooperative and didn't mis a single beat. He was on time, dressed for the occation, and responsive to inquiries before the event. He played special request from his extensive set list and really got the crowd into his performance. I'd recommend him to all my friends and will hire him for my next celebration. -- Sandra D, Altadena, CA, 6/28/2008
  • Billy was great!!! He played everything we wanted to hear. He was awsome. Everyone loved him and kept commenting on how great he was. I would definitely reccommend Billy for any event. Nice guy as well !! He really was the hit of the party. Thank You Billy!!! Don and Shannon R. -- Shannon R, Mission Viejo, CA, 2/22/2008
  • What a memorable evening we had with Billy performing for us. He was accomidating to us and all the requests many of us made thru out the night. His guitar playing and singing was great and I will always remember this night. He made the celebration wonderful and we would definitly hire him again and refer him to our friends. We have met a new friend, (and fellow Virgo), in our family. -- Donna W, Hacienda Heights, CA, 9/29/2007
