Description

Nominated for the "BEST COVER BAND" award by San Diego Music Awards three years in a row and the official band of the San Diego Chargers, The Reaganomics are Southern California's premiere party and dance band. We recreate music from every genre of the 80's including new wave (i.e. Duran Duran, Rick Springfield, Soft Cell, Aha), dance (i.e. Madonna, Katrina and the Waves), and Big hair metal (i.e. Guns N Roses, Def Leppard).

We play in all the top venues in San Diego incuding Jimmy Loves in the Gaslamp District, Viejas Casino, Barona Casino, Harrah's Casino, The Belly Up in Solano Beach, and Canes in Mission Beach. We have had the opportunity to open for such bands as Duran Duran and the B-52's. We have also toured all over North America playing events for fortune 500 companies.

We also separate ourselves from any other 80's band by providing an unparalled video show. We have collected video of the original songs of the decade and have synced them to our music along with 80's trivia and band biographies. We can custom tailor our video show with special announcements (i.e. Birthdays) for your event on request.

The band prides themselves on the accuracy of the recreation of the original songs down to note for note guitar solos and exact vocal harmonies of the music.

All the members are very seasoned professionals with impressive credentials. Both our male and female lead singers have toured worldwide and can send chills down your spine with their vocal abilities.

All this combined with original clothes from the era, incredible energy, and choreographed dance moves will make you feel like you stepped back into the 80's.

We can also tailor our show for your event. We know most of the popular songs requested at weddings and corporate events and can accommodate any other songs you may request ahead of time. We can also dress in black tie attire if requested.

Come join us for a fantastic trip back in time. We have worked hard to provide you the best recreation of the 80s we think is available. Take a look at our the testimonials and listen to our audio clips and we think you will agree.

Feedback

  • Incredible! I had a upscale fundraiser and these guys were fantastic. First, working with the band was an absolute pleasure. They were very professional, timely, and offered many suggestions on how to make the entire event successful. They even offered and help hire other vendors they had worked with in the past. They followed up with phone calls and emails so I always knew what was going on. There performance and sound and lighting were second to none. They are all incredible performers! Vocally some of the best I have ever heard. I would recommend these guys to anyone and everyone. -- Brian B, Ranco Sante Fe, CA, 2/14/2009
  • We had the Reaganomics play at our Nov. wedding in Tucson and we can’t say enough good things about them! They are energetic, entertaining, and great musicians. I heard from so many people (both young and the “young-at-heart”) that this was by far the most fun wedding they’ve attended. My parents had been a little concerned that they wouldn’t like the band, but they were blown away with their amazing singing ability and with how great all the music was. They heard similar compliments from all their friends. I would HIGHLY recommend the Reaganomics to everyone. They really did make our wedding reception everything we had hoped it would be! -- Kelly H, Tucson, AZ, 11/17/2007
  • The Reaganomics played at my 160 guest wedding in San Francisco in January 2007, and they were absolutely phenomenal. I expected them to be very good, and they were even better than I expected. I recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for a really strong 80s cover band. I have seen many 80s bands play live (including Tainted Love and the other popular SF-based groups) and I listened to a dozen more on the Internet before hiring the Reaganomics. None of these groups has anything on the Reaganomics. The clips they have on the Internet are good, but don't do full justice to how they sound, which is terrific. The other thing you can't get a sense of from the Internet is how great a show the Reaganomics put on. They use wireless microphones and guitars, so they can run out onto the dance floor (or among the banquet tables when the mood is right) to fire people up. The people on the dance floor loved it, and one of my favorite memories of the entire wedding day was looking out across the room and seeing the lead guitarist jamming out in front of one of the tables while all the guests went crazy. I received compliment after compliment about the group and about how much fun everyone had dancing. One thing that surprised me was the appeal of 80s music to multiple generations. I knew everyone in their 20s and 30s would dance to 80s tunes, but my wedding planner told me the folks in their 50s and up would not. That was totally wrong. We had folks in their 60s, 70s, and 80s out on the dance floor all evening long. As far as the guests knew, this group was a "5" on the professionalism scale. They were on time; they looked great; they sounded great; their costumes were 80s appropriate AND family appropriate at the same time; their lighting rig was fine; the sound wasn't too loud; etc. That said, I gave the group a "4" for professionalism instead of a "5" because from time to time they were a little slow in responding to emails, which can make a control freak of a groom a little nervous. That said, they delivered more than expected, so I'm a very happy customer. I'd definitely hire them again, and I hope I have occasion to. -- Mark C, San Francisco, CA, 1/20/2007
