Jan Britten Owen has been dubbed "El Maestro" for his unique style of playing lead, bass, and rhythm on one guitar while singing in many styles from the Beatles, to Roy Orbison, to Elvis Costello, to his own voice -- which has been heard on commercials and movie soundtracks. For less than the cost of a band, you can have an exciting band-like experience from the man who performs everything pop-rock from the 60's to today. The softer side of Jan includes guitar instrumentals, acoustic guitar and a songbook of standards for "house concerts," ceremonies, receptions, and more. Additionally, Jan will write original music for jingles and movie/TV soundtracks.

- The stars were aligned when I agreed to hire Jan Britten Owen as my performer. He is talented, personable and down right awesome! I had hired him to play a song (Somewhere Over the Rainbow, on Ukulele, the version by Israel Kamakawiwo Ole') while I proposed to my significant other. He not only played the song PERFECTLY, and BEAUTIFULLY, but also offered to play some original songs of his own.
