The Winstons, one of the best motown bands around, are back on gigmasters after being away for a while, recording and promoting their lastest CD called, "In A New Direction 2, dedicated to the 44th President of The United States, Barack Obama. The Winstons specialize in performing the hits from the motown era,along with the 70's, 80's, and disco classics. If you want some big band or doo wop, this is where you'll find it also. The Winstons are also well known for performing the classic hit recording "Color Him Father" all over the country. The band recently had their recording of (The New)Electric Slide, featured on The Bernie Mac 100th anniversary TV Show. This talented band was hand picked by group leader Joe Phillips and their are no members from the original group. The band has a wonderful visual show with live horns, and you will surely be entertained by The Winstons.

• The Winston were the best band we have had at our 4th of July celebration in a long, long time. Totally professional in terms of arriving and time and other contract agreements. They set a fun tone from the beginning and had the entire community up and dancing ALL evening. People are calling me already to get contact information. Great great talent (better than the promotional CD). Great, great voices, musicians and horn section. We would consider ourselves lucky to work with them again! • The Winstons Band was absolutely amazing at my Dad’s 75th birthday party. Excellent performance they were extremely professional and very accommodating they had everyone up on the dance floor. At the end of the night everyone was asking for the Winstons number to call them. My cousin from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania wants the Winstons to come and perform for his party. • I was so pleased with their performance. Joe the manager of the band called me to make sure what the event was and what we needed as far as the performance goes. This was for my family reunion in VA and everyone enjoyed them. I amd trying to get them again for an event in DECEMBER.hahahaha They worked with me on everything. • Joe Phillips has a strong stable of musicians in the Winstons. They graciously took all requests, and their level of musicianship is such they not only play the solid hits of ALL the decades, they cook 'em up like they wrote them themselves. • We had a mostly 50+ crowd at our "Senior Prom" at our tavern. From the moment the Winston's started playing the crowd was dancing. Their selection of songs for the event was perfect. Their performance was outstanding. We heard only positive comments from our crowd. From the owner's point of view, they were very easy to work with and did exactly what they said they would do. • The Winstons performed at my wedding. They did a magnificent job. They were there and set up on time and they were dressed to impress. I was very pleased with the song selection and they were able to take our ques and cut the music to fit our first dance and the father/daughter dance. They played light accompanying music during dinner and were very well received by our guest. We danced and partied the night away.
